Enjoy more time skiing and less time worrying about your gear by just picking the Blizzard Black Pearl 88 Womens Skis. Wherever you’re headed the Rocker-Camber-Rocker profile has the right stuff, whether that’s confident edge hold and energy return on hardpacked groomers, or a more playful trip through the trees with enhanced agility. But that doesn’t mean it’s just-another-hybrid. Blizzard packs this thing with unique tech, like a TrueBlend All-Mountain Flipcore, carefully selecting woods for tuned flex and response and then building it “upside down” so the shape of the ski doesn't fight the rocker sections. And all of this is a W.S.D., ensuring you get a ski that’s built for you, delivering exactly the performance you need to make the most of your time on the mountain.

KEY FEATURES
  • Rocker-Camber-Rocker Profile has the best of both worlds so you get a ride that’s predictable and powerful in all conditions
  • Carbon-infused sidewalls help more of your energy flow to the ski’s edges, and makes the ski stronger with lively energy return
  • Women’s Specific Design (W.S.D.) gives you a ski that’s truly built for you, not just a scaled down version of a men’s ski

  • Design: All Mountain

FEATURES
  • Rocker at either end of the ski makes for a ride that’s more agile and responsive while providing easy float when you find a stash of powder
  • Central sections of traditional camber help distribute your weight out to the tips, and help the ski hold an edge more effectively on hardpack
  • Specifically Designed Sidecut is a multi-radius design that gives you more edge contact where you need it for superior grip, while encouraging rapid edge-to-edge transfers in other areas
  • Sandwich Compound Sidewall puts a layer of ABS between the core and the snow, improving performance with consistent flex and helping protect the wooden laminates from damage and moisture
  • All-Mountain Flipcore is built “upside down”, helping the ski work naturally with the rocker sections of the profile for a more lively ride with effortless turn-in
  • TrueBlend construction fine-tunes flex by putting more of certain woods in key areas of the ski, tuning response and energy return for a superior ride

Q:
"Hi. If I pair this ski w/ a Marker binding - either the Squire or the Griffon - would I purchase a set w/ a brake width of 90? Thanks! "

Question by Rachel on 11/11/2022 - 4:53 pm
A:
"Correct! A brake-width of 90mm is perfect for these Blizzard 88's. We would recommend the Griffon over the Squire; it's more robust and has better release features. "

Q:
"Are the Blizzard Black Pearl 82 and 88 the 2022 models? What is the difference in feel between the two widths. I skied on the 82 and loved them. But the shorter length of 145."

Question by Teresa on 4/20/2023 - 7:34 pm
A:
"Both of these skis are from the 2022/23 season. Both skis are similar in construction, the waist size being the largest difference. Narrower skis (82) are more responsive for groomers and moguls while fatter (88) skis are better for variable snow and all-mountain terrain. "
