Profile Waist Width

Rocker/Camber Hybrid: Uses rocker in certain zones of the ski, typically the tip, tail, or both. Great, versatile choice, offering good grip on hardpack, some float in soft snow, and easy turn initiation and transitions.

90-99: Good float in powder; typically still carve pretty well

Style: V2310112

The Volkl M6 Mantra is designed for the ambitious intermediate and expert who loves freeriding all-mountain terrain and loves when there is fresh powder. The new M6 Mantra features a 3D radius sidecut and tailored Titanal Frame. As a result, the ski remains lightweight while never losing strength and torsional rigidity. Thanks to the Tailored Carbon Tip, the Mantra is very agile and intuitive to control. You can just think about turning, and it will turn. If skiing is your meditation method, let this ski be your Mantra, and you will not be disappointed. Shoot– you may even find complete inner peace.

KEY FEATURES

  • Tailored Carbon Tips embroider carbon fiber into a specially-selected synthetic insert that helps reduce weight while giving the ski superior energy storage and return capabilities
  • 3D Radius Sidecut shapes the ski with a variable edge profile, giving you a ski that’s agile at low speeds and still stable while going fast

Q:
"I've been skiing the Mantra since 2012. Area I ski is on the black bump runs on Mary Jane and in the powder (when. We get lucky enough to get some). How would the older Mantra contrast with the newer/this version? What other ski would you suggest as an alternative?"

A:
"Thanks for the question. Sounds like this version of the Mantra will still be a great go to for you. It's a quick reacting, quick turning ski that loves the powder so all the agility and float that you should be looking for."
